The EXO system is a modular system that allows you to customize how it's set up. With this particular configuration, we have the gear locker and the SkinnyWarrior with the top shelf attachment, but you can configure it with a lot of different accessories. And what that means for you with your Explorer, it's gonna allow you to increase your cargo area to get those bigger, bulkier things out for your adventure. As you can see, this is a pretty massive setup, but the benefit of that, it gives you a lot of flexibility. Now this is gonna be a solid option if you need to carry any additional like camping gear or if you need to just haul anything that's gonna have a lot of spillage to it. The Swagman expands has two really good things about it. The first is if you do not have a hitch extender on your Ford Bronco and you still have the factory hitch, your options are very limited when it comes to accessories because of where your spare tire is. So if you don't have any of those and you're unable to get any of those this is probably gonna be one of your only options when it comes to a cargo carrier on your hitch. Believe me, I've tried a bunch of other bike racks and a bunch of other cargo carriers and this one fits. more

Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2014 Ford Edge we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Explorer cargo carrier. The carrier is going to be a great option for you if you either need to carry more cargo or take the stuff that you normally would haul inside, put it out, and free up some space.This is one of the larger carriers available, and it's going to be 24" long, 60" wide, and 5-1/2" deep. That's going to give us plenty of room to carry all that sporting equipment, camping equipment, things of that nature. And with how the rails are designed, it's going to give us plenty of spaces to use our straps to secure everything down.The bottom of the carrier is actually made out of mesh, so when we have these leaky coolers in here, we're not going to have to worry about cleaning up inside of the car or have to worry about that water puddling up and damaging our other gear. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford Explorer, we're going to be doing a test fit on the roll in, swinging, and closed cargo carrier for closed hitches. Part #59109.I've already got the roll in closed cargo carrier installed on my Explorer, as you can see. The first thing that I'd like to point out, is that it does not extend past beyond the width of our Explorer. Also, even though our carrier has included tail lights, we also have full visibility or our Explorer's tail lights.Another thing you'll enjoy, is that it doesn't block our rear view window. It is, however, going to block your backup camera. One of my favorite features is, it has the ability to swing out, so we can gain access to our rear hatch. more

What this does, it has an elongated ramp that folds out to the side, enables you to put your tote gear or wheeled equipment onto the rack and you can transport it from place to place. Right now, we have it in the folded position, so let's go ahead and show you how the ramp folds out. MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford Explorer we'll be doing a test fit on the Max Tow Wheelchair Carrier. That's part number MT70106. I've already got it loaded up with the ramp extended out on the explorer just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to work. As you can see it's a sizable carrier, we have plenty of mounting holes surrounding it, and we also have a mesh flooring and mesh ramp so it's going to be very easy to clean. Dirt and debris is just going to fall right through. We also have two reflectors here at the back to keep it more visible at night. It's dimensions or 50 inches long by 30 inches wide. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2005 Ford Escape we will be test fitting the 24 by 60 Surco Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 500 pound capacity part number 52018. To install the cargo carrier, we'll go ahead and take the shank and insert it into the trailer hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, slide in the pin and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed, we have about 16 inches of ground clearance. Nearest point of the basket to the rear bumper is about 4 1/2 inches and we've added roughly 30 inches to the overall length of the Escape. With the basket installed, we're ready to go. Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2005 Ford Escape we'll be test fitting the 31 x 47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 400 pound capacity part number PS1040100. We will start by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, insert the pin and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed we have about 18 inches of ground clearance. Roughly 10 1/2 inches from the nearest point of the car to the basket and we've added about 43 inches of overall length to our Escape. Now it is worth mentioning that the exhaust exits on the passenger side of this vehicles, and the exhaust sits about 17 1/2 inches away from the basket. When opening the rear door of our Escape it breaks about 20 inches above the basket. That concludes today's test fit of the 31 x 47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier part number PS1040100 on a 2005 Ford Escape. . more

The cargo door does break over the service of the carrier at about 24 inches. We'll begin our test-fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pinholes, we'll secure it with the pin and clip. With the carrier secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the 2 fit together. We have about 17 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about 2 1/2 inches away and we've added about 8 inches to the overall length of our Ford Explorer. We can then remove the silver pin at the base of the carrier and tilt the platform down. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Edge we'll be test fitting the 23x56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier, part number 59550. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. We'll line up our hitch pin holes and then thread in our anti-rattle bolt tightening it with a wrench. Now we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. With the cargo carrier in its folded position we've added about 11 inches to the overall length of our vehicle.To get the other measurements we'll pull the red handle at the top of the carrier to unfold our cargo carrier. At the back of the carrier we have a ground clearance of 14 inches. more

CarPod Folding Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Ford Edge- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Edge we'll be test fitting the CarPod Folding Cargo Carrier, part number m2205. This CarPod is 24 by 48 inches and it has a walled holding cargo area thats rated at 450 pounds. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin hole and then we can put the clip and pin on the other side.We'll pull the pin and allow the platform to fold down and then we can reinstall our pin. We can now bring the walls of our CarPod up and use the included pins to pin the walls into place. Now we'll go over some clearance measurements. more

We'll line up the hitch pin holes and secure the carrier with the standard 5/8 inch pin and clip.Now we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. At the rear of the carrier we have a ground clearance of about 10 inches and we have about one inch from the closest point of the carrier to the closest point of our vehicle. We've added about 26-1/2 inches to the overall length of our vehicle.The exhaust on this vehicle exits both the driver's side and passenger side and is about four and a half inches away from our cargo carrier. When opening our rear hatch door our rear hatch breaks over the cargo carrier at about 22-1/2 inches. more
